Q – How many people can we have in a 1 bedroom apartment?
Our 1 bedroom apartments are perfect for couples with a large bedroom containing a queen sized bed, however for an extra $50- (min 2 night stay) we can provide a roll away bed for that extra guests or child.

Q – What facilities are available in the apartments?
Our apartments are like walking into a home away from home with creature comforts like washing machines & clothes dryers, hairdryers, cutlery & crockery as well as basic cooking equipment needed to get you started. Anything you may need which isn’t provided, just ask our friendly staff & we will try to accommodate your needs wherever possible.

Q- Are the apartments serviced?
We are self- contained apartments, not serviced apartments, so services are only carried out when you are staying for 8 nights+. We do have washing machines and dryers in all of our apartments for your convenience.

Q – Is linen provided?
Yes, your beds are made beautifully and bath towels & hand towels provided.  We also have beach towels available for hire at $5- for your entire stay.

Q – How can I get around Byron Bay if I don’t have a car?
Byron Bay has many modes of transport for your comfort including Bike Hire which is a great way to take in the sights and breath in that Byron atmosphere just like the locals do.We have our own bike hire her at reception (please book the day before if possible) We have several Taxi Services as well as Buses and Uber.

 

Q- Is there Wifi available?
Yes, we provide a Free Wifi services for our guests, however if you have important work to do while you are here, then we recommend that you bring your own connection as the internet is shared amongst 35 apartments and is only a basic service that we provide our guests. We suggest Byron Library as well as many internet cafes around town that provide this service as well.

Q – What sights can I see in Byron Bay?
Plenty!  An absolute must is to head up to the Lighthouse by foot or by car to check out the vast marine life around the cliffs and beaches including dolphins, turtles, & humpback whales throughout the winter months. Then sit and enjoy a coffee at the lighthouse café while trying to spot marine life from your table. Catching a sunset at any of the beautiful beaches around the area or a waterfall in the hinterland, truly spectacular nature!

Q- What are the restaurants like in Byron Bay?
Byron offers up a gastronomic feast for the fussiest of Gourmet travellers.

We have some amazing restaurants and cafes and you can ask at reception for any recommendations on arrival. Some suggestions would have to be The Farm, St Elmos, Rae’s @ Wategos, Traditional Thai, Roadhouse Café (which is right next door to us)

Q- How do I get from the airport to the Byron Lakeside Apartments?
There is many services running from both Ballina/Byron & the Gold Coast airports offering shuttle buses and taxi services to your door. If you require help with booking transfers, please call us directly and we can help to organise pick-up for you & provide you with a quote.

 

Q – How big are the 3 brm apartments and how many people can they accommodate?
Our apartments are all very comfortable in size and a 3 brm can accommodate 6 people in existing bedding, however we can organise an additional fold out bed by request at an extra $50- (min 2nt stay)  All 3 brm apartments are 2 storey with some on 3 levels with the 3rd brm upstairs.

Q- Do you have a pool & is it heated?
We have a great heated pool and one of the largest in Byron Bay. The temperature varies from 25-29 degrees and it is surrounded by lush green grass and tropical gardens to make you feel like your miles away from home.

Q – Are your apartments air conditioned?
Yes, all apartments are air conditioned for your comfort, which will also keep you warm in winter.

Q- What are the office hours?
We don’t have specific office hours in general. Our check-in times are from 2pm – 5pm and a mobile number is available on the office door to contact the Manager should you require anything. (After hour call out fees do apply after 5pm)

Q- do you provide soap and bathroom products?
Yes, we supply a starter pack for the entire apmt including the following;
Soap, body wash, conditioning shampoo, laundry detergent, dish tablets and washing detergent, milk, tea, coffee & biscuits.
There is a Woolworths and Aldi in Byron Bay & a SPAR supermarket @ Suffolk Park for you to get your supplies from for the duration of your stay.

Q – Can you smoke in the apartments?
Absolutely not inside the apartments. Smoking is only allowed outside the apartments on the back verandahs and all doors must be closed to stop smoke from entering the apartments. If there has been smoking identified, a cleaning & deodorising  fee will be charged to the guest. We have adopted the new No Smoking By-Laws which means that guest cannot smoke around the pool or on the grounds with the exception of their own verandah. These rules are in place for all guests comfort.

Q- Are pets allowed?
Sadly no, we currently do not allow pets at this complex due to health regulations and also the complex’s  By-Laws which don’t permit animals.

Q- is the complex generally noisy?
Not at all, if fact most of our return guests choose to stay here because we are out of the hustle & bustle of Byron Bay nightlife but still close enough to town.

Q – How do we check-in after the office is closed?
You are requested to contact the property to notify us if a late check-in is required and we have a key safe located at the office that can hold your keys and room details for you to access.

Q-Can I get a late check out?
We always try to accommodate our guest whenever we can to provide this service, but it cannot be guaranteed until the day of departure as it depends on our occupancy needs. (Fees may apply) We can hold your bags in the office while you catch a late breakfast if this service is not available to you on the day.

 

Q- How close to the beach are the apartments?
The beautiful Tallows Beach is located across the road, just a 1omin walk through Arakwal National park and you’ve arrived. Check out our aerial shots in the Gallery page to see the location.
Alternatively you can drive to Suffolk Park or Byron Beaches in about 4-5mins.

Q- How far are you from Byron CBD?
We are a 5min drive or 20min walk to the CBD (1.6km) and you can check out our Cruiser Bikes for Hire from reception if you would prefer to ride around town.

Q- Is parking free in Byron Bay?
Good question & no, we have paid parking in the Byron CBD area. There are parking meters located everywhere for you to put in your rego number and pay (normally about $2-4 depending on your length of stay. There is free parking available on the outskirts of the CBD as well.

Q- Is there a car hire service available?
Yes, both Ballina/Byron & Gold Coast airports have hire car services available at their airport service counters and there is also companies in the Byron CBD that offer car hire.

Q- Can you arrange for Champagne or flowers to be there on arrival?
Of course, we’re always willing to help where romance is concerned…please let us know at least 2 days prior and we can arrange this service for you both.

Q- Can I hire baby equipment and cots?
Yes, we have portable cots available for hire here at Lakeside and can source quotes for any hire needs you may require for your stay, please contact us in advance and we can organise this service for you.

Appreciated the well stocked cupboards, plates, wine glasses, cutlery .. basically anything you may need. Loved the outdoor living spaces with water feature and the location a 15 minute walk to a quite beach and lake. Kids enjoyed the pool and free wifi. Will definitely come back.”
